shopping amongst others can be harsh on a person's budget.
the feeling of pressure can overcome you and you wind up spending a little too much to impress.
shop alone. - it works - for those budget conscious individuals.
I'm not sure if I can relate to others with this concept but here it goes
take one day to window shop.
leave your debit/credit card @ home, in the car -- and take 20$ in the mall or the store with you.
the pressure of shopping ceases... the desire exists but who really wants to walk ALLLLLL the way back to the car - you have the oppurtunity to -
one: prepare mentally for where your budget stands
two: shop accordingly (steps to staying in a budget)
three: thought process is clearer therefore purchase day can be leisurely instead of stressful
I am speaking to people who have a hard falling in <3 with an item and those who overshop.
The idea that --an item needs to be something you can't live without versus something to just have -- seldom graces my cerebellum --> until recently.
i walked into BCBG today without my card and 10 dollars in my wallet - I felt amazing although the desire to buy was there and I was envious of those purchasing around me : / I remembered my concept..
I was able to find key items - think about where they fit into my wardrobe - and ask myself would they be worth the buy.
Some yes, and some definintly NO.
window shopping is a major YES to budget shoppers! Purchase day has to be extrememly restrained.
Remember the items you choice and stick to those items. Mentally prepare yourself and the experience is a much more calm one.
I tend to go a bit overboard and purchase a dress, a necklace, earrings all in one sitting
I suppose the same saying Coco Chanel said "always take off the last item you put on" I believe the same idea applies to shopping.
Do you really need the last item?
Shopping is meant to be relaxing not frustrating and a lot of us live in troubled times we aren't the Kardasians, the Hiltons, or celebrities we are people on a budget and we need to act accordingly.
You are not a baller if your not a baller... accept that like God accepts you and move on.
