Cloudy with a CHANCE of meatballs.
I read this book when I was 8 and I fell in love with it. The fantasy of it all, the pictures, the story. It became one of my favorite books of all time. The stories that somewhat fade once you get older, but once you fall upon the cover in the attic, the library, the book store those same emotions hit you all over, and the innocence of your childhood spreads a smile across your face with an " i love this book" blurting out of your mouth. ( I will probably do another redention of this once "WildThingz" comes out.-pre-warning)
I love the idea that nearly 15 years later a splatter of my childhood can come back to life.
Reinventing those same memories and emotions of the time I read the book.
Makes me wonder if 8 year old kids now a days even know the book or just the movie?
But seriously the movie may not have followed verbatum what the book implied but the movie was the
BEST 3D movie I have ever seen. (if "a bee movie" was 3D a may say second favorite) I have seen a lot of 3D movies lately and haven't been impressed. This one held a story and the concept of it being 3D and objects seem to fly off the screen into your mind was clearly displayed.
It was modernized with the voices of individuals who more than likely know the book and what the book was about it. These individuals are on another level of humor..
Including:
Bill Hader who was the voice of Flint Lockwood -
Anna Farris the voice of Sam Sparks
James Cann the voice of Tim Lockwood
Andy Samberg is the voice of Brent
Bruce Campbell is the voice of Mayor Shelbourne
Mr.T is the voice of Earl
Whenever I see certain cartoon movies, the voices all sound so familiar so I did myself a favor and found each one of them, and the character they played. Honestly this movie was amazing!

Jerome and I pull up to the movies expecting tickets to be $9 because that's how much our previous ventures to 3D movies cost us. But we didn't go to the Quarry all those previous times, which is placed off of 281 in the RITZy part of San Antonio.
Once we get to the front desk, I was paying for myself, he was paying for himself, we told her what movie, she warned us 'miss, just so you know the price is different for 3D movies' I went " psh i know erika," then she blurted out the total
"23 dollars"
I looked at her then to the screen displaying the price, what the
Jerome pulls out his wallet and says I only have,
I cut him off and run to my car to get my money because I forgot it
really i did
i come back and he has the glasses in his hand
and smiles at me and says
"we're good."
i was like what happened?
he said this gentlemen paid for it
the security officer had paid for our tickets
jerome said "say thank you"
i looked at him
"I'm grown"
went over shoke the man's hand
and smiled with a thank you
as we where going up the escalator
I asked Jerome "why did he do that, what happened?"
jerome said " he said that when he's gone out several times the waiter has come up to him and plainly told him that, someone has paid for your dinner this evening so I thought I would return the favor"
this was a spur of the moment thing, we didn't know we could get to see a movie, this was an 11 40 showing of a cartoon movie, last minute, maybe we'll make it maybe we won't situation
and look at that.
free
and besides the movie was great!
